Ah, Halloween and crafts! I decided to tuft myself a themed ghost rug – what could possibly go wrong? Well, as I soon discovered, everything.
The tufting gun seemed more alive than I was, and the yarn got stuck just as I was getting into the flow. How many times can you rethread the yarn and still wonder why the gun is shooting its own designs? I managed to keep my cool, though a few colorful words slipped out... And when I finally got the tufting gun under control, things started flowing – at least until it came time for the finishing touches.
I used the trimmer to tidy up the edges, but you can guess what happened, right? The trimmer decided to slice through one of the color areas like a pumpkin head. Luckily, we got the color contrasts right in the end – and I can proudly say that the rug turned out pretty awesome, with a ghostly vibe intact.
Themed crafts are wonderfully relaxing, and the change of pace is refreshing when the routine starts to dull. Thankfully, the ghost rug is now done and in place. It’s a reminder that even if crafts come with their fair share of drama, the result can still be pretty cool – even if I say so myself!
